LEAR (Laboratorio Elettronico di Automazioni e Regolazioni) was founded in Turin in 1966 to design and manufacture electrical equipment. Giuseppe Giacomelli joined the company as an employee in 1985, becoming a partner after just four years until, in 2006, he acquired all the remaining shares in the company, becoming the de facto helmsman of the enterprise in which he has strongly believed and invested his energy from the very beginning. The core of the company's production operation has always centred on the design and construction of windings (transformers, inductors of various powers and frequencies for specific industrial uses, etc.), manufactured according to the requirements of every type and size of company, but mainly for leading Italian companies in the aeronautical, naval, railway and industrial sectors.

OUR STORY

The company's natural dynamism and a good dose of entrepreneurial courage have allowed LEAR to implement, constant research in parallel with production, enabling the creation of equipment capable of supporting the rapid evolution of electronics and its many potential applications. Thanks to a high degree of flexibility in the face of increasingly specific requests, we are able to satisfy even the most particular requirements, producing from scratch equipment that is the fruit of the elaboration and realisation of the customer's needs.

This working approach has led our company to refine its knowledge in many specific sectors, first and foremost that of resin coating and vacuum impregnation of manufactured objects for which this process is necessary. Examples include medium-voltage transformers, which require the use of resin to reduce weight and volume as much as possible while guaranteeing insulation according to legal regulations, and small ferrite transformers which are used in the control circuits of vacuum pumps.

OUR MISSION

By virtue of a marked aptitude for the development of research projects, LEAR can boast collaborations with the Turin Polytechnic with which it has taken part and is taking part in experimental projects for practical applications, helping us broaden our store of high-content technical knowledge and their fields of application. A great challenge that confirms this company's desire to combine a vocation for research with the accuracy of standard production, at the service of both historical and newly acquired customers.

LEAR's mission is to pursue a strategy of continuous improvement, continuous technological and process upgrading, aimed at maintaining and, indeed, increasing customer satisfaction. Almost sixty years' experience in the sector allows us to be a reliable point of reference for our customers and enables us to design, customise and optimise our processes and products on the basis of the customer's needs, providing them with a fast, efficient and constant service. Particular attention is paid to Quality issues, pursued through the search for the best materials available, high product reliability, continuous refinement of company processes, intermediate and blanket testing of finished products, customer support at all stages of product life, and certification of our quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and aeronautical standards EN 9100:2018 and EN 9120:2018.
